We recognise that working in this field can be lonely and isolating. Feedback from our training days has showed that many therapists would welcome opportunities to network with other like-minded professionals. We have therefore begun develolping networking groups for twelve different regions throughout the UK: Central, East Anglia, East Midlands, Ireland, London, North East, North West, Scotland, South East, South West, Wales and West Midlands.
WHO IS THE LIST FOR?
Qualified counsellors and psychotherapists working in the field of trauma, abuse and dissociation who are also a current Friend of PODS.
HOW DOES THE LIST WORK?
Each member is assigned to a regional networking group dependent on where they are based, and their details are visible to everyone else in that regional group only. Details include name, email address, phone number and county. These details are not visible to anyone else, and can be updated at any time, either yourself or by contacting the PODS office.
You may contact the other people in your group for networking purposes only.
IS THIS THE SAME AS THE REGISTER OF ‘DISSOCIATION-FRIENDLY THERAPISTS’?
No. This is a list of other professionals in your area for the purpose of networking, and is not given out to clients seeking someone to work with.
If you are not already a member of the dissociation-friendly therapist register and would like to join, please go to https://support.pods-online.org.uk/join-the-therapist-register.
Please note that if you change your details on the networking list, it will NOT automatically update it on the DFT list for clients – this is to ensure that you can provide different contact details for colleagues than for clients if you so wish.
If you are looking for a ‘dissociation-friendly’ supervisor, please go to https://support.pods-online.org.uk/find-a-supervisor.
CAN I JOIN?
To join a group, you need to be a UK-registered counsellor or psychotherapist and a Friend of PODS.
If both of these are true, please click the register button. If you are already a member, please login.
If you have any further questions about the list, please contact us on 01480 878409 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
